Travelling

What to write about travelling, maybe, that I love to travel....

Travelling enriches me; it brings me understanding of foreign people, their culture, traditions etc.

I travel from my childhood because of my parents which likes to travel too. My parents worked for CSAD (Czechoslovak bus transport company) so we mostly traveled by bus. At this time we could travel only in Czechoslovakia and Eastern block…  Well our country is nice, we traveled Czechoslovakia from west Bohemia to the east Slovakia. I have been to GDR, Poland, Hungary, Romania and Yugoslavia in socialistic era. After the 1990 year we could start freely travel without any restrictions. My first journey from the Eastern block was heading for Germany… yeah for the first time in my life I could visit my cousin in Nurenberg. Wow great feeling, I discovered Mc Donald’s, supermarkets, different cars, a lot of different kinds of fruit and so on.  When you realize that up to this moment we could travel only to some eastern countries then you will find that it was great experience for me.

I have been to several european countries f.e. Poland, Yugoslavia, DDR, Romania, Germany, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Great Britain, France, Italy, Belgium, Netherland, Louxembourg.

I travelled the Norway by train and I have to say that it is wonderful country , I travelled Romania (criss-cross) on my bike (here are some other sites about first trip to Romania in 2001 Al's www.) I visited Romania in 2002 again. I was there with my wife and it was our honeymoon :) We travelled there on my bike and it was great journey. You can see it here.
